There's some technical problems preventing streaming support. This is the
reply I got earlier when I asked about it, which covered them pretty well.
The gist of it seemed to be that work on streaming could begin (provided
anyone is interested) after 1.0 is released. I'd certainly be willing to
help contribute as this is a feature I desire greatly.

This would be a great feature, we all agree. Unfortunately, there are
two semi-major problems that have made us decide to make this a
post-1.0 feature.

The first issue is that all of our code assumes that you have to
download fully before you can start playing. We're worried that
changing this will create a whole host of bugs and we'd rather do that
when we have a full release cycle to get rid of the bugs.

The other problem is that we would have to figure out how to support
partially downloaded videos on 3 different platforms including 4
different video players. This includes denoting how much of the
download is done in the video progress bar and also actually handling
loading a partially downloaded file into the video player.

We're definitely interested in doing this post-1.0, but we've decided
that getting 1.0 stable and ready is more important right now.
