[Develop] web API for the channel guide

hi all-

has there been any discussion or thoughts regarding a web API for
miroguide.com, be it SOAP or REST or whatever?  I ask because i've been
thinking a lot about how the idea of miro could be integrated into
things like set-top boxes and media center pcs (think mythTV or elisa).
In situations where the fundamental interface is different, i.e. less
screen space, limited input, browsing the miroguide website is too
complicated.

My hidden ulterior motive is actually that i'm writing a library which
needs to interface with the channel guide, and trying to write a parser
which scrapes the html makes me shudder.  I would be interested in
hacking on the backend to add this functionality, if someone would point
me in the right direction.
