Is this a good reason to move things around in SVN?  I know that I'd 
like to see the bmachine stuff bumped over to a different repository. 
Is there a way to structure things better so that the binary-kits are 
pulled in optionally?

It occurs to me that the maketarball script checks out the tv/ directory 
and then renames it.

Should we make changes to that for 1.2?
